Japanese atomic bomb survivor group Nihon Hidankyo received the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday in recognition of the group’s efforts to realize a world freed from nuclear weapons.

Iranian human rights activist Narges Mohammadi obtained the Nobel Peace Prize in 2023 for “her battle towards the oppression of girls in Iran and her battle to advertise human rights and freedom for all,” the awards committee mentioned on the time.
